Good Grief, Inc. 5K for Hope 2018

There is one organization that is very near and dear to our hearts.  We volunteer our services as much as we can to Good Grief, Inc.   Their mission is to provide unlimited and free support to children, teens, young adults & families after the death of a mother, father, sister, or brother through peer support programs, education, and advocacy.

On Sunday, June 3rd the community came together and raised over $130,000 for grieving kids and families throughout New Jersey and we were lucky enough to be there to document the morning.  While there were some tears shed for those who were lost, the mood of the day was joyful.  Kids were being kids, everyone was there to support each other and have a little fun while raising money for a great cause.

On a personal note, we have recently had some people within our small community leave this world way too soon, leaving behind children and families.  If you can donate to this incredible organization, please do!  More importantly, please pass along the information about Good Grief, Inc. to families in need.  1 in every 7 children will experience the loss of a parent or sibling before the age of 20.  That is about 280,000 in New Jersey alone!  Good Grief, Inc. does such amazing things for the healing of these children and their families and we are proud to be associated with them.

The children and families we have met inspire us in ways we never thought possible.
