As most of you may know (some of you? At least one?), Kelly and I love to use on- and off- camera flash for a large percentage of our workflow. We do not consider ourselves to be “natural light photographers”. We semi-jokingly refer to ourselves as “available light photographers”. You may be thinking, “What’s the difference?” The difference is that we will use any light source available to us as long as it has the quality of light that we are looking for at the time. This includes the sun, flash, continuous LED and tungsten lights, miniature flashlights, a desk lamp, fireflies, etc. We don’t discriminate! Direction, texture, and control are more important qualities to light than the source from which it originated.

A couple of weeks ago, Kelly and I took our second annual trip to the Marcos house in North Jersey. The goal was simple; keep the kids from killing me while trying to snap a few photos of them! The family even got the chance to turn into explorers in their own backyard for this portrait session. We are super-pleased with the way they turned out and we hope everyone else loves them as well...

Good Grief's Run and Walk for Hope 2016

Good Grief has been an organization we have worked with for years!  This is a cause that is very close to our hearts and we absolutely love the kids, families, volunteers and staff at this organization.  If you have been affected by loss or know someone who has, come out and join us on 6/5/2016 for the 5K run/walk to see what they are all about.  Personally, I look up to these kids So much and they are such an inspiration to us all whether we have experienced loss or not.
